Emmy Rossum was only 11 years old when she landed one of her first on-screen roles in 1997 on Law & Order. The subject matter was pretty heavy. It involved an Egyptian family’s fight over whether the young girl should be circumcised. She went on to appear in several other TV shows, including a couple of made-for-TV films. Her film resume includes Mystic River, The Day After Tomorrow, The Phantom of the Opera, and Beautiful Creatures. But she’s probably most known for her role as Fiona Gallagher in the television series Shameless. The actress has also released two albums.
