Taylor Swift Announces Her Own Festival
Taylor Swift has just released her seventh studio album Lover with wild success. Originally, Swift wasn't sure when she'd announce tour dates and wasn't even sure if she wanted to do stadium shows. However, she must've figured it out pretty quickly as she announced a 2020 concert tour today, including her very own "Lover Fest".
"The Lover album is open fields, sunsets, + SUMMER. I want to perform it in a way that feels authentic," said Swift in a tweet. "I want to go to some places I haven't been and play festivals. Where we didn't have festivals, we made some. Introducing, Lover Fest East + West!"
Swift will perform in 10 different cities around the world. She will begin the tour in Belgium before moving to Germany, Norway, and Denmark. Afterward, there are stops planned in Poland, France, Portugal, and Brazil. All of these dates are at already established festivals.
She has also announced "Lover Fest", a festival she created for her US shows. She will perform two nights each in Los Angeles, California, and Foxborough, Massachusetts. These are the only two U.S. dates announced for this tour, which we're sure will cause an uproar in Swift's fanbase.
Swift says more U.K. and international dates and festivals will be announced soon. Hopefully, this also includes more states in the U.S. so American Swifties can get their fix of the pop icon.
