This happened to a University of Iowa football player in July of 2016. The defensive end on the Iowa football team was listening to music and playing Pokémon GO in a local park. He was in the location where an armed robbery attempt took place, and he fit the description of the perpetrator. When he didn’t respond to police, guns were drawn. Luckily nobody was harmed and it was just a misunderstanding.
