The Hallmark channel is famous for its Christmas programming. One of the channel’s new films this year is the Mistletoe Secret, which first aired on November 10 (although we know it will repeatedly air throughout the season). The made-for-TV movie stars Kellie Pickler, Tyler Hynes, and Patrick Duffy.
The movie centers on a travel writer who elects to do a feature on Midway, Utah, after he’s persuaded by hometown girl Aria Eubank, who winds up falling for both the writer and his ghostwriter.
Holiday In The Wild Stars Rob Lowe And SATC Alum Kristin Davis
There’s no need to wait to get in the Christmas mood because streaming services such as Netflix are already promoting their holiday programming. New for 2019 is the film Holiday in the Wild, starring Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis, whom you may remember from SATC.
The film centers on a woman whose husband ghosts her on the eve of a trip of a lifetime — an African safari. Kate decides to go on the trip anyway, and she forms a strong bond with an elephant conservationist named Derek.
Animated Film Klaus Is A Santa Clause Origin Story
Jason Schwartzman, J.K. Simmons, and Rashida Jones star in this heartwarming holiday tale from the co-creator of Despicable Me. The film centers on a mailman who befriends a reclusive toymaker. The pair winds up changing the lives of those who live in a cold and unhappy town.
Klaus is a Santa Clause origin story in animated form. It hit Netflix on November 15. Clocking in at just over 90 minutes, this family film is sure to entertain all members of your household.
Opposites Attract In Christmas Under the Stars
Christmas Under the Stars debuted on the Hallmark channel on Sunday, November 16. The film stars Jesse Metcalfe, Autumn Reeser, and Clarke Peters and centers on a self-centered investment banker named Nick, who is fired during the holidays and takes a job at a Christmas tree lot.
While peddling trees, Nick meets an astronomy teacher named Julie, whom he eventually falls in love with. Love transforms his attitude and turns him into a better man.
Let It Snow Centers On High School Seniors During A Holiday Snowstorm
This holiday teen romance started streaming on Netflix November 8. The film is based on the young adult romance of the same name by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle. It stars Kiernan Shipka, Isabela Moner, Shameik Moore, and Odeya Rush.
The film follows a group of teens who won’t let a Christmas Eve snowstorm spoil all their fun. It focuses on several high school seniors in the town of Gracetown. The movie was filmed in Toronto, Canada.
Love Transcends Time In The Knight Before Christmas
Vanessa Hudgens wants a fairytale ending with Josh Whitehouse in the holiday rom-com The Knight Before Christmas, which starts streaming on Netflix on November 21. Emmanuelle Chriqui also stars in the film about medieval magic.
In the film, a 14th-century knight is transported to modern-day Ohio. He meets a high school science teacher (Hudgens) who has given up on love. Naturally, the unlikely pair makes a love connection that transcends time. You may recognize Hudgens from High School Musical or The Princess Switch.
Recently Single Jessica Gives Thanks In Write Before Christmas
The Hallmark film Write Before Christmas stars Torrey DeVitto, Chad Michael Murray, Grant Show, and Lolita Davidovich. It aired November 17, at 8 p.m. ET. It centers on Jessica, a newly single woman who mails Christmas cards to everyone who’s made a difference in her life.
This includes the aunt who took care of her, a brother in the military, the music teacher who inspired her, the famous singer whose music she loves, and the best friend who doesn’t hesitate to be honest with everyone.
Last Christmas Is This Year’s Go-To, Big-Screen Holiday Film
This romantic comedy set in London centers on Kate (former Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke), who works as an elf at a department store during the holidays. Her life takes a turn for the better when she meets a guy named Tom (Henry Golding). The film features the music of George Michael, including his song “Last Christmas.”
Actress Emma Thompson co-wrote the story with her husband, Greg Wise. The film is directed by Paul Feig and hit theaters in the United States on November 8.
Holiday Rush Reveals The True Meaning Of Christmas
This film follows radio DJ Rashon “Rush” Williams who tries to deal with his wife’s death by giving his four children everything they could possibly want from their Christmas lists. Then he loses his job and he realizes that the most important thing about family and the holidays is the people, not things.
Holiday Rush starts streaming on Netflix on November 28. It stars Romany Malco and Sonequa Martin-Green as well as Darlene Love, Deon Cole, and La La Anthony.
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby Was Filmed In Romania
The romantic comedy A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby is about the perfect Christmas gift: a royal baby. However, before Queen Amber expands her family, she must help them and her kingdom find a priceless artifact, which has been stolen. Filming took place in Bucharest, Romania.
The movie was directed by John Schultz from a screenplay by Nathan Atkin and stars Rose McIver, Ben Lamb, and Sarah Douglas. It will start streaming on Netflix on December 5.

Hallmark and Netflix aren’t the only go-to channels and services for holiday movies. Lifetime also produces a bunch of Christmas-themed films. Radio Christmas stars Keshia Knight Pulliam, Michael Xavier, and Tim Reid and aired on November 9. It centers on Philadelphia DJ Kara Porter who must broadcast from the small town Bethlehem when her station is shut down for repairs.
Kara tries to find out the identity of Bethlehem’s secret Santa, who is responsible for saving all of the town’s Christmas festivities. She also ends up learning what it really means to have love and family during the holidays.
A Very Vintage Christmas Is Another Holiday Tale Involving Love
In this holiday film, Tia Mowry-Hardrict plays Dodie, a hopeless romantic who owns Very Vintage Antiques. When she finds a hidden box containing various mementos related to a past romance, she is compelled to find the box’s original owner. She enlists the help of her new tenant, Edward, to help her on her mission.
The question is, will the pair find the original owner? And is a new love for Dodie also included? A Very Vintage Christmas also stars Jesse Hutch and airs on Lifetime on November 27.
Singer Kelly Rowland Stars In And Produced Merry Liddle Christmas
You may recognize Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child or her own solo work. She produces and stars in Merry Liddle Christmas on Lifetime, which airs on November 30. Rowland plays single tech entrepreneur Jacquie, who buys a dream home and decides to host the family Christmas.
Things go awry, however, as she tries to create “the perfect Christmas” for a video shoot. As she tries to deal with all the family drama, she also finds a new love on the horizon, which surprises her in ways that she didn’t expect.
Christmas At Graceland Sticks To The Holiday Rom-Com Formula
In Christmas in Graceland, a young woman named Harper returns to Memphis while waiting to hear about a job abroad. She winds up working as a nanny for a wealthy widower named Owen. The pair end up co-hosting a joint event at Graceland, and before long the two end up falling for one another.
Harper then must decide whether she wants to stay in Memphis near her family permanently. Kaitlin Doubleday, Adrian Grenier and Priscilla Presley star in the film, which airs on November 23.
Christmas At Dollywood Stars ‘Bright Light’ Dolly Parton
Christmas At Dollywood stars Dolly Parton, Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years), and Niall Matter. It aired on the Hallmark Channel on December 8 and centers on a bankrupt Broadway producer who hopes to save her career by working on the 20th anniversary of the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival in Dollywood.

Christmas at Dollywood features Danica McKellar in a story about finding love and new beginnings in the most familiar place: home.”
An Ice Cream Contest Takes Center Stage In Christmas A La Mode
In this film, Emily runs her family’s dairy farm with her mom and best friend’s help. However, they’re struggling and unwilling to cave when Emily’s sister — and farm co-owner — tries to persuade the family to sell the farm. Emily then concocts an idea to hold an ice cream flavor contest that goes viral.
However, as Christmas Eve and the deadline for the buyout approaches, Emily must pull out all the stops to ensure that nothing happens to the family farm. Christmas A La Mode stars Katie Leclerc and Ryan Cooper and began airing on November 15 on Lifetime.
An Old Love Turns Up Again In Matchmaker Christmas
Book editor Maggie tries to find her boss Amanda a date for the publishing company’s Christmas party in the film Matchmaker Christmas. Maggie enjoys matching up her friends but is thrown for a loop when her ex-boyfriend from college comes back into her life as a successful author.
Maggie has a hard time denying those old feelings and has to make some decisions when she realizes that Amanda has an eye on Jaxson as well. The film stars Emily Rose and Corey Sevier and airs on December 14 on Lifetime.
A Woman Comes To Her Sister’s Aid In Rediscovering Christmas
In Rediscovering Christmas (December 15 on Lifetime), Mia works as a department store window dresser. She spends months getting ready to decorate the store for the holidays, but this year all she wants is to get away from it all and take a tropical vacation with her sister Sara.
However, Sara has other plans and asks for Mia’s help in organizing the annual Snowflake festival in their hometown in Vermont. The film stars Jessica Walter and Jessica Lowndes.
A Christmas Duet Rekindles Two Kindred Spirits
In A Christmas Duet, music duo Averie and Jesse have gone their separate ways after becoming famous for their song “Wouldn’t Be Christmas” several years earlier. Averie opens a lodge in Vermont, while Jesse continues to play music without much success. The pair wind up together at Averie’s lodge before the Yuletide Festival.
Somehow, the power of Christmas brings the duo back together again. The film stars Chaley Rose, Rome Flynn, and Teryl Rothery and airs on the Hallmark Channel on November 25.

Candace Cameron Bure has starred in numerous movies for the Hallmark Channel, including Puppy Love, Moonlight & Mistletoe, Let It Snow, The Heart of Christmas, Christmas Detour, Christmas Under Wraps, and Journey Back to Christmas. One of her 2019 films is Christmas Town.
The movie centers on Lauren, who leaves Boston to start a new life. She learns about the magic of Christmas after an unexpected detour in the town of Grandon Falls. Tim Rozon and Beth Broderick also star. The movie airs on December 1.
