Musicians Live In Homes You Won’t Believe!
Frank Sinatra’s Swanky Sky House
Frank Sinatra once lived in a swanky Upper East Side penthouse alongside the East River. The apartment is 3,000 square feet and was at one time worth almost $8 million. Artist Andy Warhol once said the party complex was a “glittering grotto in the sky.” Strangely, the top level wasn’t connected to the lower, so Sinatra and friends would climb the building stairs.
More recent owners changed the architecture somewhat, and put in an internal staircase as well as converting Sinatra’s top-floor area, where he sang his songs, into a master bedroom. In 2015, the penthouse sold after being renovated even further, for less than $5 million.
