Rapper and actor Will Smith (married to Jada Pinkett-Smith) has built his dream home in Calabasas, California, in a $20 million property they call the Smith Compound, which is actually a 25,000 square foot castle that very much has its own, hard to pin down look, as a mish-mash of influence: very earthy and organic looking, built in the neutral, earthy colored tones of adobe.

A large retractable skylight allows beautiful light into the double-height living room. The living room has two sets of towering columns, which are wrapped in jute rope and rustic reclaimed ceiling beams. Hand-hewn teak doors open to reveal a small and warm seating area. Outside, there is a gorgeous lake gazebo that Smith says is his favorite part of the property.
