Movies And Shows That Still Went On After A Main Star Left
Say Bye-Bye To Sommers
Business always gets funky when someone is unhappy with the amount of money they are making. It only took five seasons for Suzanne Sommers to request more pay for her role. Once season five started, Somers went on strike and didn’t show up for the tapings.
ABC was afraid of losing her so they struck a deal. She would appear in 60-second scenes in some episodes. Once that season ended, she didn’t get that contract renewal and her character was just replaced by her clumsy cousin, who was played by Jenilee Harrison. The show ended up continuing on to an eighth season.
