Radiohead formed when they met while attending Abingdon School in England. It was there they formed the band that originally was known as “On A Friday”- referring to the band’s rehearsal day in the school’s music room.

At the request of the record label, they changed their name to Radiohead from the Talking Heads single “Radio head”.
