The Cure was formed in 1975 by principal member Robert Smith. Their debut album Three Imaginary Boys throttled the band into the post-punk movement, including the punk rock revival in the UK. In the eighties, the band’s dark tone of music emerged as a new style that became known as gothic rock.

Music critics described the next band to be one of the best live rock bands today.
