Say what you will about Amy Schumer, but you can’t deny that she’s managed to find massive success in a notoriously difficult industry. Schumer was a contestant on the fifth season of Last Comic Standing. In 2013, she created her hit sketch comedy series, Inside Amy Schumer. She’s released several successful stand-up specials and starred in her own movies.

In 2015, Schumer was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people. Schumer’s comedy is crude, timely, and smart while still being accessible. She published a memoir in 2016 titled, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, that examines her early life as well as her thoughts on assault, gun control, and domestic violence.
