Samantha Bee rose to fame on The Daily Show, where she performed as the programs longest-serving regular correspondent from 2003 through 2015. She left The Daily Show to start her own political comedy series, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

Bee became the first woman to host a late night satirical news show. In 2017, Time magazine included Samantha Bee on their “Time 100” list of the year’s most influential people. Hopefully, more hilarious women will follow Bee’s lead and edge their way into late night hosting spots. It’s time for another lady among all these James and Jimmys.
