The joint album between Kid Cudi and Kanye West Kids See Ghosts released on June 8, 2018. More than a year later, Cudi says a sequel will for sure happen.

Since 2008's 808s and Heartbreak, the collaboration of West and Cudi has been one of music's most sought after fantasies. Over the years, the duo has given the fans their most excellent work when they're on the song together. From "Welcome to Heartbreak" to "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," they never seem to disappoint.

Eventually, the prospect of the two making a joint album entered the realm of possibility. On April 19, 2018, West tweeted that dreams would come true when he wrote, "me and Cudi album June 8." Many took this with a grain of salt because his history includes plenty of empty promises. Not this time, they delivered on that date and the album was generally well-received.

In a recent interview with Complex, Cudi revealed that his former mentor already spoke to him about doing a part two. "Kanye already told me he wants to start working on the second one," says Cudi. "It's kinda weird, 'cause with the first album, I didn't know how serious he was about making a collab album with me. He had mentioned it, but I thought it was just a good idea he had in the moment. But then he kept bringing it up and kept having me come to his house, listen to music, and work on beats, so I was like, 'Wow, he's really into this.'"

Cudi revealed that the Chicago rapper wanted to do a spiritual album. "Great. 'That's what I do," Cudi added. "I would love to do that, something I can sink my teeth into."
