“Billie Jean” opened the door for other colored artists to be featured on MTV. The single would appear on the top of the Hot 100 chart for seven weeks.

The second track from the King of Pop’s 1982 album paved the way for the musician to star in the infamous “Thriller” music video. The video was so popular that it was released as a home video.
