“Damn Daniel” is a viral meme that started courtesy of a story (video) on Snapchat. Daniel is actually a high school student being filmed by his friend, another high school student named Josh. Josh says “Damn, Daniel back at it again with the white Vans,” which is a reference to Daniel’s shoe choice.

Originally just a joke between them, the boys started posting their encounters on Facebook after their friends loved it. The meme has now been applied to a variety of things, not just shoes. The boys even appeared on Ellen, where Daniel was gifted a lifetime supply of Vans.
