Stunning Gowns From The 92nd Oscars And Vanity Fair After-Party

The 92nd Academy Awards brought out all the big stars on February 9, 2020. As always, the red carpet and after-party looks did not disappoint. While some of the ladies opted for a classic Hollywood glam look, there were many women who took the bold and daring route with their dresses. Freida Pinto's dramatic gown commanded attention while Kristin Wiig's look was beyond comparison. Here are the most memorable looks from the 92nd Oscars and after-party.

Charlize Theron opted for an elegant black gown for the evening. The actress wore an off-the-shoulder gown designed by Dior Haute Couture. The flattering cut featured a long leg slit and a dramatic train. She paired the gown with jewelry from Tiffany & Co. including a diamond pendant necklace.

Theron became the first South African to win an Oscar in the acting category when she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Aileen Wuornos in 2003's Monster.

Irish-American actress Saoirse Ronan was named one of the best looks of the evening by Harpers Bazaar. She donned a custom gown designed by Gucci for the big night. The unique design featured a black and ivory-toned top with a deep V-neck and ruffled skirt.

Larson attended the Oscars wearing a gorgeous pink gown. Designed by Celine by Hedi Slimane, the dress featured more than 13,000 Swarowski crystals, 6,500 pink strass jewels, 120,000 sequins, and 110,000 glass beads, according to Harper's Bazaar. The dress reportedly took over 1,200 hours to make.

Actress Kristen Wiig had one of the most unique looks of the night, wearing a red ruffled dress with a bold fit. The dress was as bright as Wiig's personality, turning heads with the unique shape which brings a generous amount of volume to what could have been a more simplified pencil dress.
