One of Felicity’s main friendships in the show is Julie – a budding musician played by Amy Jo Johnson. The character was originally written as a dancer but Amy Jo didn’t know how to dance, but she was a singer so the character was modified accordingly. Amy Jo was also famous for being the original Pink Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The show even gave a cinematic nod to the Power Rangers when in the first season’s Halloween episode a Pink Ranger is seeing kissing Scott Speedman’s character Ben. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is now facing a reboot in the form of a film to be released in March.
