Quinn Cummings was 10-years old when she landed her first Oscar nomination for her role in the 1977 film, Neil Simon’s The Goodbye Girl. She also appeared in the role of Annie Cooper on the TV series, Family.

Cummings later gave up acting, saying that she was tired of being so prominently in the public eye, and she also claimed, “nobody could conceive of hiring me.” She has become known for books like her memoir, Notes From The Underwire, as well as The Year of Learning Dangerously and her collection of essays, Pet Sounds. She also wrote blog posts until 2016, when she “dialed back on the blog.” You can still find her article on People, Salon, Time, The Atlantic, and GoodHousekeeping.
