Stefania Sandrelli is an Italian actress who started acting at the age of 14, with Divorce, Italian Style. She went on to win the Miss Cinema Viareggio beauty contest, which made her a cover girl on Le Ore, an Italian magazine. She starred in several Bernardo Bertolucci’s drama films, including The Conformist (1970) and 1900 (1976). And, she then went on to star in films like Tinto Brass’ erotic film The Key. Sandrelli was recognized for her illustrious acting career with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 62nd Venice International Film Festival. Her daughter, Amanda Sandrelli, followed in her mother’s footsteps as an actress.
