Stars Hollow has changed a lot since the series ended in 2007. According to Palladino, the crew had to go back and touch up the town’s set, that sits on a backlot in Hollywood. “They got a deal on brown paint. I’ve never seen so much brown paint in my entire life. I’m like, ‘Who the *explicit* doesn’t want some color in your town?” Palladino explained. “We had to rebuild all the sets.”
