Richard Gilmore was the pillar of strength and wisdom in the “Gilmore Girls”universe. Unfortunately, Edward Hermann, who played Richard throughout the series, tragically passed away before taking part in the reboot. Lauren Graham, who played his daughter Lorelai, says his passing has given the reboot a “depth and emotional complexity.”
