Lane Kim, otherwise known as Keiko Agena, had a band called Hep Alien. The band name paid tribute to the actual inspiration for Lane, Sherman-Palladino’s best friend, Helen Pai. A few years back, Hep Alien had a reunion. In 2008, the band met up at a GG reunion and covered the show’s theme song.
