On December 6, 2004, American vlogger Gary Brolsma made a video of him lip-syncing Romanian band O-Zone’s track “Dragonstea Din Tei.” The video was titled Numa Numa Dance, deriving from the Romanian lyrics “nu mă nu mă” featured in the song.

On top of his lip-syncing, Brolsma incorporated enthusiastic choreographed dance moves. Brolsma posted the video on Newgrounds.com where it received over 2 million times in less than three months on that website alone. The video is the third most viewed viral video of all time with 830 million views, losing only to “Star Wars Kid” and “Gangnam Style.”
