It seems as if Melania may find Marla inspirational as well. During one of her rare speeches, prior to the election, Melania discussed growing up in Slovenia, and stated, “America meant if you could dream it, you could become it.” That line was eerily similar to one Marla said In 2011 during an interview with Maximum Ink Magazine. Marla said,“Even though I was from a small town of 500 people, I learned to dance, play clarinet, and play trumpet, all while playing every sport I was allowed to as a southern-born tomboy…I believed if you could dream it you could become it…”
