Mary J. Blige was the R&B singer that every rapper wanted on their song back in the ’90s and early 2000s. If you had her on your hook, then you were cemented as a great rapper. She has a great voice and many fans but has not been in the limelight as of late.

At a certain point of her career, her life would take a turn for the worse thanks to her past. When Blige was only five years old she was molested by a family friend. She says that experience led to her abusing drugs and alcohol during her career.
