Jimi Hendrix had a childhood you would want to forget about. He grew up poverty, as many others on this list did, in Seattle while his dad was in the military. Soon, his father got out of the military and that is when the trouble really began. He took charge in raising his child but did a terrible job at it.

The author of Jimi’s biography wrote that Jimi’s father was abusive and neglectful. He even put some of Jimi’s siblings in foster homes. Jimi fell into trouble and had the option of joining the army or going to jail for two years and he chose the latter.
