The man on the moon, Kid Cudi speaks about his troubled past in a few of songs, but he doesn’t share the full extent of it. His music often paints a picture of sadness and depression and that is because he is depressed recently admitted himself for help. This is because of his upbringing.

His father, who he was close with, died when Cudi was only 11 and it gave Cudi the huge case of the blues. His mother was not making that much money in their small town of Shaker Heights in Cleveland so Cudi would often worry about the wellness of his mother more than his own.
