These Stars Should Run For President… And Some Say They Might!
Geena Davis Would Promote Women’s Causes & Equality
Geena Davis, known for films such as Beetlejuice and Thelma and Louise, was raised in Massachusetts. During high school, she was an exchange student in Sweden and became fluent in the language. She graduated from Boston University and became a member of Mensa, a group whose members are in the top 2 percent of intelligence. She is a huge supporter of women’s rights: she backs the Women’s Sports Foundation and is an advocate for Title IX. She launched the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media in 2007. Her platform would likely focus on women’s equality, something not all politicians prioritize.
