“Humanist” Meryl Streep Gets The Job Done

Meryl Streep was the oldest of three siblings and grew up in New Jersey. She is a distant relative of William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. She has said that her mother was her mentor because she encouraged her to go out and achieve whatever it was she wanted to do. Streep has been nominated for a record 21 Academy Awards and won three, showing that she’s willing to work hard (and reap the rewards as a result). She has criticized President Trump and backed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. When asked if she’s a feminist, she responded, “I’m a humanist.”
