Jim Carrey And Kick-Ass 2

Right before the movie Kick-Ass 2 made its debut, actor Jim Carrey declared that he would not do any promotional touring for the flick. Carrey apparently liked working on the movie but had a change of taste following the Sandy Hook tragedy. Carrey decided he couldn’t support a movie that so easily glorified gun violence.

Carrey took to Twitter where he declared: “I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence.” He might have been violating his contract but we can appreciate his conviction during a very sad point in history.
