Jackie Gleason tried to ride the coattails of his success from the show The Honeymooners and went on to become a TV game show host for You’re in the Picture. The show was celebrity bolstered with guests and lasted for an hour. He just thought there was something about the show and went on a soliloquy one episode in front of the audience.

“There’s nothing here, except the orchestra and myself… We have a creed tonight, and the creed is honesty… Last week we did a show that laid the biggest bomb — it would make the H-bomb look like a two-inch salute.” It was more of an apology and a diss at the same time.
