Jada even told Howard Stern in 2015 that Will's "a grown man" that's "got all the freedom in the world."
Secret Scientologists?
The Smith family has denied rumors that they're Scientologists, but it's a little fishy because they have so many connections to the religion.
The school they founded supposedly had a "Scientology-focused curriculum," they're good friends with other celebs like Tom Cruise, and former Scientologist Leah Remini even said in 2017 that she frequently saw Jada at the Scientology Celebrity Centre.
Jaden Smith Moved Out At Age 15
In California where the Smith's live, the legal age for a minor to move out of their parent's house is age 18. Jaden apparently couldn't wait that long, and told his mom at age 15 that "I have to leave here to live my life."

Back in 2014, Willow was photographed (fully clothed) in a bed with a shirtless Moises Arias. Willow was only 13, but Arias was 20. Many called the photoshoot inappropriate and questioned why Will and Jada were letting their young daughter do these photo shoots.
Jada said "there was nothing sexual about that picture" but still, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services visited the household to be safe.
They Don't Believe In Disciplining Their Kids

It was an emotional ride for Will when he left his first wife Sheree for Jada. Although he described his first marriage as a happy one, he knew that Jada was his destiny.
Will even said that one night at dinner with Sheree, he "was sitting in a stall in the restaurant...crying uncontrollably because (Jada) was the woman I was supposed to be with."
Willow And Jaden Had A Questionable Education
It might not be the parenting style that made Jaden and Willow so weird. The kids both began their education at The New Leadership Academy which was a school funded by the Smiths. It was controversial though because the principal based the curriculum on Scientology.
