A trip to Alabama would change Franklin’s career forever. Atlantic Records brought Aretha to Fame Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals to meet with Rick Hall and start her breakthrough into the music industry.

Her first hit record, “I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)” was recorded in the iconic record studio. What’s the most shocking that it was Franklin’s eleventh studio album after she spent years with Columbia Records, recording only minor hits.
