While Aretha learned how to play the piano at a very young age without actually learning how to read the sheet music, she still wanted to learn everything about playing the piano.
So, in 1998, she took her talents to the Julliard School of Music to study the piano. Julliard is the standard when it comes to studying music, and has a total student body of under 1000 people. However, I think it was a pretty easy call to have the Queen of Soul enroll decades after her first album was released.
