In June of 1980, the hit comedy The Blues Brothers hit the theaters and would signal a bit of a career resurgence for the talented musician. In the movie, she appeared and sand the song “Think” along with the Blues Brothers in her only film role ever.

The movie was the first to be based on a Saturday Night Live sketch of the same name, with Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi star as “Joliet” Jake and Elwood Blues. The song would become Franklin’s seventh top 10 hit in the United States.
