Flying can be a touchy subject for some people, but Aretha took her fear of flying very seriously. It all stemmed from an in-flight turbulence incident back in 1982, and completely changed the way she toured around the country.
While her fear of flying most likely got overblown, Franklin did say that her fear hasn’t kept her from getting around. Like any superstar, she had a custom-made bus built just so she could get around in comfort and style.
