The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was first established in 1983, but it would take four years before the Hall of Fame inducted its first female performer. Aretha Franklin earned that distinction, and was inducted by Rolling Stones member Keith Richards.
Along with her Hall of Fame induction, she has also been inducted to the UK Music Hall of Fame and the GMA Gospel Music Hall Of Fame. She’s been listed on the Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the 100 Greatest Artists Of All Time, as well as the 100 Greatest Singers Of All Time.
