The Most Heartbreaking Celebrity Deaths Of 2016
Nancy Reagan
After a long and wild ride, former first lady Nancy Reagan finally joined her husband at 94 years old on March 6, 2016. Known as the “Just Say No” activist throughout Ronald’s eight-year term, Nancy served as an anti-drug soldier in the never-ending war by her husband’s side and later turned her efforts toward curing Alzheimer’s once Ronald was diagnosed. However, she and her husband were no friends to the LGBT community nor to those who were dying by the hundreds from HIV/AIDS in the 1980s.
Before becoming one of the most stylish and influential first ladies, Nancy was a Hollywood actress and met husband Ronald well before his presidency when he was the president of Screen Actors Guild. After Ronald Reagan’s passing in 2004, Nancy remained in the Republican public eye until her very end.
