Ted has spent a good chunk of his fortune on more than two dozen properties, including 14 ranches with 55,000 bison roaming across them. He spent many years traveling hundreds of thousands of miles in his private jet to spend time in nature and deliver speeches.

At one point, Ted was America’s biggest landowner, boasting nearly two million acres of property. His pal John Malon, chairman of Liberty Media, eventually surpassed him. Ted certainly has enough money to take care of so much land. The media mogul has a net worth of $2.2 billion, according to Forbes.
