His divorce from Jane Fonda didn’t prevent Ted from seeking female companionship. In 2012 he was regularly dating four different women, whom he spent about a week with each month. He told the Hollywood Reporter: “Pretty much, that’s the general rule.” He noted that the women were “sort of” okay with the arrangement.

He added, “I’ve been married three times, and with my background in baseball [he owned the Atlanta Braves], I remember the first rule of the game is, three strikes and you’re out. I regret that I wasn’t more successful with my marriages, but it is what it is.”
