In the video, Swift is wronged by a partner and after a lengthy training montage, Swift and her army of gal pals go head to head with her ex-partner and their group.

Swift’s partner-turned-enemy is played by Selena Gomez, who is one of Swift’s best friends, as you will find out later. The video was such a hit because it opened the world’s eyes to Taylor’s “squad” and how powerful they all are as one force. Other girls featured in the video include Lena Dunham, Hailee Steinfeld, Cara Delevingne, and Karlie Kloss, all of whom are in Taylor Swift’s squad in real life.
