Before her pop song success and her recent legal troubles, Kesha was just another young woman trying to make it as a singer in Hollywood. Although she had perfect grades in high school and was offered a college scholarship, she dropped out just before graduating to pursue a career in music.

She traveled from Nashville to her native Los Angeles, where she lived out of her car while she was working. Of that time in her life, Kesha has said, “I drove out to Hollywood in my dead grandpa’s Lincoln town car, and just lived in my car for a little bit… Well, just, like, here and there.”
