Rihanna Unveils Her New Fenty Collection
Rihanna proves she plays by nobody's rules. She debuted a new and unannounced collection of her fashion brand "Fenty" in the middle of Paris Fashion Week. The 14-look edit was released through a lookbook, and not a fashion show.
The new workwear-inspired collection features pinstripe blazers and pants, graphic t-shirts, a selection of denim pieces, and a black turtleneck sweater.
The singer previously revealed she wants women to feel their "sexiest" while wearing her clothing designs.
"The most important message is that this is a line designed by a woman for women. It's for women to feel their sexiest, their boldest, their most feminine, their most masculine, their most, period," said Rihanna in a statement.
She's always trying to break industry standards with her designs and wants to make sure all women feel included.
"I'm a curvy girl, and if I can't wear it myself, it's not going to work. I need to see how it looks on my hips, on my thighs, on my stomach - does it look good on me or only on a fit model? It's important," said Rihanna.
She also uses a direct-to-consumer approach to fashion, much different than the rest of the industry during fashion week. She says she doesn't want to "tease" fans with previews of the clothes months before they go on sale. All of the new pieces are available on the Fenty website as of September 26th.
