One person who has a lot to say about the real Martha Stewart is Stewart’s one and only daughter, Alexis. In 2011, Alexis Stewart published Whateverland: Learning to Live Here, a comical book that bashed everything her mother became famous for. At the same time, it revealed what it was like to have Martha Stewart as a mother, which shockingly didn’t align with Stewart’s pristine, homemaker image. With such claims like the fact that Martha never actually cooked for her family, Alexis also said, “Martha was not interested in being kid-friendly. She would hand me things right before Christmas and say, ‘Now wrap these but don’t look inside.'”
