Mark Ruffalo Is Not On Ellen DeGeneres’ Side In The George W. Bush Controversy
George W. Bush is making headlines again like its 2004. He and his wife joined talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia De Rossi at a Dallas Cowboy football game on October 6th. The four of them were seen being friendly and laughing, which caused an uproar online due to Bush's former stance on LGBTQ rights and his controversial war decisions.
DeGeneres posted a video on Twitter to defend her friendship with the former POTUS.
"Just because I don't agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be friends with them," she said. "When I say be kind to one another I don't mean only the people that think the same way that you do, I mean be kind to everyone. Doesn’t matter."
Many celebrities agreed with DeGeneres but one person who has been vocal to disagree with her is Mark Ruffalo. He believes a lack of justice has been brought against Bush.
"Sorry, until George W. Bush is brought to justice for the crimes of the Iraq War, (including American-lead torture, Iraqi deaths & displacement, and the deep scars—emotional & otherwise—inflicted on our military that served his folly), we can't even begin to talk about kindness," Ruffalo wrote on Twitter.
DeGeneres has not issued any reply to her critics further than the original video. It seems as though she thought that it was going to be enough, but the controversy keeps growing.
