Kate Middleton Shares Her First Ever Instagram Post
Kate Middleton and Prince William have been sharing updates about their lives through the Kensington Palace Instagram account for years now, but the captions have always been written from a PR point of view by someone who works for the Royal Family. However, one of the latest posts on the account is signed "- Catherine," making it the first post from the Duchess of Cambridge herself.
She and her husband recently paid a visit to the SOS Children's Village in Lahore, Pakistan after their jet was forced to make an emergency landing. They had to stay in Lahore overnight due to a fierce electrical storm. It was the couple's second visit to the charity, which provides a home and family structure to over 150 girls and boys in boarding houses.
"The community at the SOS Village is built around family - and the best possible family you could imagine - where everyone comes together to nurture, love and protect the children in their care," Middleton wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.
She shared a series of photographs from their visit to the orphanage, showing herself and Prince William interacting with the children.
"These vulnerable children, many who have come through traumatic circumstances, are nurtured in this caring environment and are able to form these quality relationships that they so desperately need to thrive," wrote Middleton.
