No Hall Of Fame For Axl Rose

Despite Guns ‘N’ Roses numerous awards, Axl Rose adamantly refused being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band was meant to be inducted alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers, Donovan and the Beastie Boys, but the artist let fans know that he would be skipping the Cleveland, Ohio ceremony.

Rose has had a notoriously difficult relationship with his bandmates, and he retained the rights to the group’s name. Apparently, he disliked his former bandmates so much that he was unwilling to bury the hatchet for the ceremony. “I strongly request,” he wrote, “that I not be inducted in absentia and please know that no one is authorized nor may anyone be permitted to accept any induction for me or speak on my behalf.”
