Elton John Once Let Stevie Wonder Drive A Snowmobile Alone
Elton John made the (questionable) decision to let Stevie Wonder drive a snowmobile all by himself one winter. The "Rocketman" singer recently told the story during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Stevie Wonder, who has been blind since childhood, was at the Caribou Ranch recording studio with John. During the interview with Kimmel, John joked he was trying to "get rid of a music rival."
"It was thick snow and Stevie wanted to go out on the snowmobile...[He went out] by himself," said John. "We thought, 'OK, that's another rival gone! That's him out the way.' Just needed to get Phil Collins and Rod Stewart up there."
He added that he still doesn't know how Wonder was able to drive the snowmobile without hurting anyone but didn't go into much more detail than that. If you want more juicy details he explains more of the story, and other hilarious tales, in his new autobiography "Me."
