When Chopped premiered on Food Network, it was an instant hit. Four chefs compete in three rounds with unknown ingredients and $10,000 on the line! And it’s all based on how good their food tastes, as long as it’s not cold by the time Scott Conant and the other judges try it!

To solve this problem, the producers of the show have some tricks you don’t see. While the chefs are cooking, the judges have a chance to go into the kitchen and taste test their food. Then, after the round is over, chefs have a chance to make some dishes over again to ensure they’re warm enough for the cold hearts of the judges!
